Graduate Programs
Westgold invite Graduates to take the step from study to the workplace in an inclusive environment supported by a wealth of knowledge from our Technical Professionals. Our programs are catered to the needs and motivational factors of the Graduate in addition to business needs within our Group. With the unique ability to expose Graduates to multiple projects and mining / extraction methods, our Graduates are provided with a well-rounded start to their mining careers.

Vacation Students
Westgold are able to offer invaluable practical experience to Students within the listed graduate disciplines to apply theoretical knowledge in an active mining environment. With a view of drawing from the Students personal interests and motivations, Westgold aims to provide a unique learning experience that plays an integral part in directing a Graduate’s final career choice.

Apprenticeships
Working closely with registered training organisations, Westgold are proud to be supporting those looking to commence their careers in the mining industry. Opportunities extend to those who are entering the industry for the first time as a school leaver, mature age applicants and qualified tradespeople looking to upskill and / or achieve a dual-trade status.
Westgold offers both remote (Fly In and Fly Out and Drive In and Drive Out) and residential apprenticeship opportunities.
DIDO opportunities are available for those who live in the following locations and the surrounding towns: Geraldton, Esperance, Newman, Denham, Cue, Mt Magnet, Dongara, Albany, Coolgardie.
Residential apprenticeships require candidates to live in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.
Apprentice Opportunities are available in the following disciplines.
Fixed Plant Boilermaker, Fixed Plant Fitter, Fixed Plant Electrician, Heavy Duty Fitter, Light Vehicle Fitter, Auto Electrician.
